5s7 Deep Throat

  1. Where do we get our websites and how are they rated?

What goes into the the selectable sites are chosen from...

As well as the above indexes providing direction, websites are rated based on the degree of penetration into the network, the deeper the better, for example a powerful torrent meta search will query some 10 torrent indexing sites, informally we do not like listing landing websites that have the resource we instead prefer a "no fuss quick answer search" and then the more deep and comprehensive search commonly found from specialized meta engines, that is facilities that query many facilities for answers, just wanting a defintion from a dictionary differs from wanting 30 different defintions from 30 different dictionaries, including origins of words and the rest of it. We have difference between a lite search and a deep search. i.e "Google harder", a number of nodes will be lite and a number will be deep

  2. Why don't you use regex and api's to hide the landing websites

Because great websites derserve the credit and success, maximising exposure is beneficial. Deep searching is about answers not cosmetics.

  3. Better Searching & Deep Searching

The methology of decentralized micro management, that is very specfic independent search facilites that come together to form the homepage in a hierachy. The ability to search and research deep, by incorperating the resources and tools, Copernic search allows for fantastic deep searching and we can do the same from here without the issues associated with desktop software.

  4. Exposing The Network

Estimates suggest that 95% of the Internet is hidden, so let's expose it. Two major networks are the Gnutella and EDonkey networks, so we produced a search engine to expose the Gnutella network bringing some 15TB of data to the Internet, that was previously unchatered. However their are many more networks that remain hidden bringing them online will not be easy.

  5. True Representation

What people are liking, searching and doing is not for anyone to judge, data is not a crime. That means we have an adult section. We are seeking aspects of the Internet that are valuable, hidden and neglected.

    • Out of site out of mind, 5s7 Deep Throat evokes the top number websites of each different category to the user, if you use a start page that does not evoke then you will lose your bearings, what is the agenda for evoking, well website tracking companies publish a list of sites based on their popularity, that is; alot of other people say so.
    • how many people use p2p networking, a search engine would suit, all the major search engine neglect that network yet it is a large portion we also find much of the internet is neglected by the major search engines and want to represent that aspect, we also find that when much of the Internet is out of sight out, it's also out of mind
    • more unique results, google and yahoo are both comprehensive yet results differ, articulate users may want to view both
    • prehaps an idealogy of hierachy and micro-mangament in search engineering, if one likes reading books, then the best book search engines accessible

The perdominant issues of the moment are....

1) Science and technology of quantifing large amount of data that is the Internet in a usable format...

If the Internet is made up of infinite number of websites, how best to quantify that data. The Internet is far more than a hand ful of websites or the top several results of a search engine. The science and technology of quantification of the Internet must reveal as much of the Internet as possible in a usable format.

How do we do that?

Its a top of worldwide discussion, but the current answer is get bigger screens, using two screens is common and most people do that but what we are needing is massive screen real estate, so perhaps 100 websites can be neatly represented in their own space. Currently we use browser tabs or html frames to quantify the data. We envision a search keyword to automatically load high number of sites, perhaps 11 automatically, rather than peering at search engine descriptions.
